We tend to dress very warm during very cold days we live to see the cold evaporate our breath we dream of it being a warm place to be, Winnipeg has changed a lot recently due to Gang violence we try not to keep track on violence but when it’s at a high rate we all crave a better way of life. I remember as a child walking to the Children museum at the forks from where I lived, walking down water front as a young seven year old child with my family and friends there were two homeless men in the park near the Red River front and they chased us for no reason as my mom yelled at them I remembered what they represented and I am still to this day afraid of homeless men with one leg. I’m sure this happens to every child on their seventh birthday but that’s one I will never forget being RUINED! Like every person living in Winnipeg I can remember feeling safe crossing streets on Henderson now every couple months people are hit by a drunk drivers on Henderson. With all these deaths happening everywhere I’m sure it’s not just Winnipeg but I do remember a time when my life seemed safe and protected and that was probably when I was no more than five, After Five I became afraid and I lost my will to see the world as a comfy pillow
